 Product C is a family run business. Demian Geneau its founder, graduated from the Culinary Institute of Vancouver B.C in 1999 at the top of his class and then went on to train at some of Vancouver’s top fine dinning restaurants such as Blue Heron Inn and Contemporary Fish. However it wasn’t until Demians’ migration south that he “earned his spoons” by successfully creating one of Costa Rica’s finest 4 star restaurants’ to date, The Flor Blanca. Dominique and Ghislaine, the heads of the Geneau family, have been immersed in the seafood lifestyle since birth. Born and raised on the shores of Cherbourgh, one of France’s richest fishing coastlines (known especially for its St. Vaast-la-hougue oysters), Dominique, the quality control manager, later immigrated to Canada in 1979 with his wife Ghislaine and continued his experience as an accomplished tuna, salmon and prawn fisherman off the shores of British Columbia. They promptly created their own oyster farm right in front of their family beach house and it is there that Demian and his siblings flourished -- scouting the daily pick of oysters, clams, snapper, halibut and salmon. These fruits of the sea were seasoned with fresh herbs from the garden and served up nightly on the family table. Samantha and Stephane, the youngest of the Geneau clan, bring their extensive customer service and retail management skills to the business, as they will ensure that our philosophy of efficiency, reliability and personalized service is maintained and upheld. |

Our oysters, grown using the “long line system”, are the closest match to wild oysters and have been approved by “M.A.G” – Minesterio de Agricultura y Ganaderia.
